Great location and a lovely old Madeiran building. Exceptionally clean everywhere. Even though I had a single room I found it spacious and comfortable (it also had it's own balcony)! I was in room 2 and at the bottom of the stairs from my room it had a lovely enclosed terrace on the first floor, ideal for a nightcap. The waterfall style shower was also great, good water pressure and is easy to get the temperature control right. There's an old winery that does tastings about a 2 minute walk away (H M Borges) and it was a 10 minute walk to where the market Street begins (about a 13 minute walk to the market itself) Everything was great, nothing to complain about.
